We use protective packaging from day to day, but what alternative uses does the packaging hold?
Protecting your windshield:
Protecting your windshield in winter: As the weather gets colder, the days will sadly get shorter and the last thing anybody wants to do in the morning is to get up and waste time getting all of the snow and frost from your windshield that lovingly settled overnight. With a small amount of bubble wrap in place before a winter storm decides to hit, you can prevent any form of attack on your windshield. The protective packaging will insulate the windshield as preventing frost from forming, so removing all of that snow just became incredibly easy.
Protect those plants!
When the cold weather becomes to form again, outdoor plants will need some protection from the cold or they’ll ultimately begin to die from the frost. Amazingly, protective packaging can be wrapped around the containers in which the plants sit, being held together with some string or tape. This will keep the soil warm all winter long, which reduces the risk of the plant dying, yay!
Keep the draft out:
Draft windows are some of the biggest attackers on energy bills are homes leak heat all through the harsh weather, so more energy is used and less money is saved. A cheap alternative is surprisingly bubble wrap! The protective packaging allows a layer of insulation for the windows, so be sure to spray some water onto the windows and stick the bubble wrap to it. It’s a good trick for windows where you want the natural light to leak, but you also want to attain a level of privacy.
Protecting delicate produce:
There are a number of delicate produce in the home that often go to waste due to their susceptibility to the environmental damage, so things like peaches and tomatoes often go in the bin. You can line your fruit bowl with a layer of protective packaging in order to cushion them, so no more wasted food!
Keep your groceries cool:
Do you have a long trip home and simply don’t want things like ice cream to melt? You can layer a bag for life (reusable carrier bag) with a thing amount of bubble wrap and it works as an insulator, so the protective packaging keeps your food cool/frozen!
Pad out your sleeping bag:
As great as camping is, it can be difficult at times to get a sustainable sleeping solution that will actually allow you to sleep, not toss and turn all night from the uncomfort of the hard ground! Though it’s not a nice comfy bed like the one you have at home, you can actually pad your sleeping bag out with bubble wrap to cushion your sleeping experience between yourself and the floor, so you get a better nights sleep!
Keep your drink’s at the right temperature:
Be sure you line your car’s cupholder with a layer of protective packaging as this will keep your drink insulated, so you’ll keep those cold drinks at the right temperature in summer and vice versa!
